Quality of Vision
Normal Vision
The vision of most creatures (including humans, halflings, farrux and drughu).
Poor Vision
Creatures with poor vision have somewhat less distinct visual perception than normal. This may reflect a difference in perception of colour, or acuity of focus. Characters with poor vision have a -2 vision penalty on saving throws against illusion spells and effects and take a -1 vision penalty to the DC of any saving throws against illusion spells they cast. Dwarves have poor vision.
Inferior Vision
Creatures with inferior vision have much less distinct visual perception than normal. Characters with inferior vision have a -4 vision penalty on saving throws against illusion spells and effects and take a -2 vision penalty to the DC of any saving throws against illusion spells they cast. Orcs have inferior vision.
Good Vision
Creatures with good vision have somewhat more enhanced visual perception than normal. Characters with good vision have a +2 vision bonus on saving throws against illusion spells and effects and gain a +1 vision bonus to the DC of any saving throws against illusion spells they cast. Elves have good vision.
Superior Vision
Creatures with superior vision have much more enhanced visual perception than normal. Characters with superior vision have a +4 vision bonus on saving throws against illusion spells and effects and gain a +2 vision bonus to the DC of any saving throws against illusion spells they cast. Gnomes have superior vision.
Special Visual Qualities
Lowlight Vision
Heatsight
Heatsight allows creatures to see twice as far in torchlit and firelit areas, and also alows them to detect very hot items before they glow red to creatures with normal vision. This ability also enables creatures to see in areas lit only by red hot metal as though it were lit by a torch. Dwarves and orcs have heatsight.
