Confusing Ray

- The gemologist’s refractions twist the target’s perception of friend and foe. A creature struck by a confusing ray takes damage from the refraction and must pass a Will save or fall under the effect of a confusion spell for 1 round per caster level of the gemologist. Reduce the amount of normal damage dealt by the refraction by 2d4 (so a refraction that would normally deal 6d4+4 points of damage deals 4d4+4 points of damage instead).
